OUR STORY
Sharing love, hope and resources with our neighbors in need.
Our Saviour Center was established as a community outreach of the Church of Our Saviour in the city of San Gabriel. Our Saviour Center is a nonprofit, nonsectarian agency, that began in 1985 as a fledgling food bank inside a rented storefront that provided sustenance to El Monte’s most vulnerable families. As men, women and children stood in line, volunteers were able to learn more about them and their needs, including healthcare, childcare and housing. Our Saviour Center rose to meet each need the community had, and today, the Center provides at-risk low-income families with a Food Pantry, Emergency Temporary Housing and Youth Development programs. Located in the heart of El Monte, the city is challenged by poverty, racism and violence. As we did in 1985, we continue to join with our neighbors in service, working to meet the community’s ongoing and changing needs.
